Recently, one of our customers faced an issue with finding the acceptable alignment plan. The problem was in controversial DNVGL lubrication criteria conditions for low speed and full speed criterion, it was hard to find an alignment design that meets both criteria. However, our support team successfully helped to find the aft most stern tube bearing double slope design and bearing offsets providing all necessary explanations. All calculations were made using ShaftDesigner software. Nevertheless, it was necessary to limit the minimal operational speed. The customer was satisfied.
