Another successful project is completed by our team while in quarantine! This time it was a tug’s Torsional Vibration Calculation. The project included four-stroke diesel engine, flexible coupling, gearbox, propeller shaft and five-blade propeller. Despite the lack of all information about the installation, our experienced engineers managed to fill the missing parts with help of gathered equipment characteristics database. The calculation results showed that the propulsion system met all Class Rules and equipment manufacturers’ requirements. The customer was happy with the results and already ordered the next calculation, which is in progress now. The #ShaftDesigner friendly user interface makes the calculation process easy and pleasant; the generated reports are 99% Class submission ready.
